Black and white portrait of a young man with wavy hair, smiling, wearing a short-sleeved striped shirt.

Parker Schovanec is a painter from Oklahoma who constructs narrative scenes drawn from noir cinema, pulp novel covers, and classic Americana.

Raised among the aging Main Street storefronts of rural Oklahoma, Parker became fascinated with the hidden stories held inside those spaces. His paintings don't document what was; they invent what might have been. Cinematic in light and atmosphere, each piece places the viewer inside a scene that feels strangely familiar, like a memory never lived.

He holds a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design and has exhibited in Savannah, Miami, and Oklahoma.
